Life at the Rancho San Andrés Castro Adobe

Castro Adobe State Historic Park
Watsonville, California

The future 9-acre Park features a 2-story hacienda built in 1849 by the Castro Family. The only one of its kind in Santa Cruz County, the adobe is a beautiful example of the Mexican Rancho Period in California and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Interactive exhibits, including a room that celebrates the lively fandango, plus a visitor center and outdoor exhibits will bring rich California history to life.
