We’re Only Human: Linking the Past to the Present

Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology
Berkeley, California

Virtually untouched since its 1959 opening, the Kroeber Hall Gallery at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology (University of California at Berkeley) has been transformed into a multi-use space and Learning Center that offers visitors the chance to experience never-before-displayed items from the museum’s collection of 3.8 million objects. We also designed the gallery’s inaugural exhibit, People Made These Things: Connecting with the Makers of Our World.
