Located in the Port of San Francisco’s Pier 1 headquarters, this curved exhibit gallery integrates large-scale photography with vivid interpretive graphics, artifacts, and interactive elements to illustrate the Port’s remarkable contribution to San Francisco’s history. As they learn about the Gold Rush years of the waterfront, and then travel forward in time to the recent development of the Ferry Building into a bustling public market, guests make meaningful connections between past, present, and future.
